Where can I find the batch number on the product?
The batch number and best-before date can be used to identify the exact date on which the product was manufactured. The batch number is printed on the bottom of the tin for tins and on one side for trays. The batch number can either be a time or a combination of numbers and letters. In the event of a complaint, please always state the batch number together with the best-before date.
The batch number is often confused with the manufacturer's number. Every pet food manufacturer receives this number for its production site from the supervisory authority. This number must be visible on every product, either on the label or on the packaging. On tins, this number is often found on the bottom of the tin, next to the best-before date.
